St. Luke's Health Now Episode Discusses Medical Simulation Technology in Healthcare
This episode focuses on simulation training technology, exploring the hands-on experience where students learn from real-life situations.
The next episode of St. Luke’s Health Now will air on Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. on WFMZ, Channel 69. This episode explores simulation technology in healthcare and the services offered by healthcare providers at St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN).
The episode features a panel of experts at SLUHN, including:
Lenny Merchant, network director of clinical education, development and innovation
Steven Mankos, clinical education specialist
Dr. Meredith L. Birsner, MD, co-chief of obstetrics, maternal and fetal medicine specialist
“Simulation creates an artificial environment in which healthcare workers can practice and refine their skills,” said Merchant. “We welcome mistakes in that simulated environment, because that’s the safest place to make them.”
St. Luke's Health Now, hosted by Ashley Russo, founder and executive producer of ASR Media, is a co-production of ASR Media and SLUHN.
