St. Luke's Health Now Episode Explores Women's Bone Health
This episode discusses the importance of bone health while aging and the treatment options offered at St. Luke’s University Health Network.
The next episode of St. Luke’s Health Now will air on Monday, June 9, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. on WFMZ, Channel 69. This episode explores bone health, osteoporosis, bone loss and the services offered by healthcare providers at St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN).
The episode features a panel of women’s health experts at SLUHN, including:
Dr. Gardia Germinal, MD, family medicine/geriatric medicine
Dr. Kimberly Zambito, MD, orthopedic hand surgeon
Dr. Sara Choudhry, MD, endocrinologist
“Osteoporosis is a very ignored problem because patients do not feel its impact until they have a fracture,” said Dr. Choudhry. “Fall prevention is of utmost priority in preventing fractures, so any exercises that promote flexibility, balance and coordination are very helpful.”
St. Luke's Health Now, hosted by Ashley Russo, founder and executive producer of ASR Media, is a co-production of ASR Media and SLUHN.
St. Luke's Health Now complements other St. Luke's health and wellness programming, including Talk with Your Doctor, a 30-minute live call-in show in its 21st year.
