St. Luke’s HealthNow Discusses Imaging Innovations in Latest Episode

 

BETHLEHEM, PA – On July 17, 2023, the 42nd episode of St. Luke’s HealthNow will air on WFMZ, Channel 69, at 6:30 p.m. The latest episode of the long-running medical program will explore cutting-edge imaging technology, the health network’s commitment to long-term patient safety and recovery, and more. Speaking on the topics will be three St. Luke’s Network professionals: 

  • Medical Director, Computed Tomography, David Furman, MD

  • Vice Chair, Department of Radiology, Robert Fournier, MD

  • Diagnostic Radiology/Women’s Imaging, Joseph Bucich, MD 

The panelists explain the evolution of imaging in women-specific healthcare and the benefit of early intervention thanks to updated radiological technologies. Throughout the episode, the experts will also explore St. Luke’s radiology residency programs and how they are working on preparing up-and-coming radiology experts to utilize the latest technologies to streamline patient care. Additionally, advancements in radiology technology for women’s imaging, the importance of fast-paced and optimized healthcare initiatives, and St. Luke’s commitment to quality care and patient safety will be discussed.

“St. Luke’s has agreed to a subscription service with GE where we will receive the newest technology when it comes out,” said David Furman, MD. With this service, we will always have the most modern technology, whether that is software or hardware, to have the lowest radiation doses and faster scans.” 

St. Luke’s HealthNow is a collaboration between ASR Media Productions and St. Luke's University Health Network. Alongside St. Luke's existing health and wellness programs, such as Talk with Your Doctor, a 30-minute interactive show running for over two decades, and The PEAK TV, a captivating series co-produced with ASR Media Productions, viewers can engage with insightful narratives, health tips, and ways to improve oneself. St. Luke's HealthNow, Talk with Your Doctor, and The PEAK TV are broadcasted in rotation every Monday at 6:30 PM on WFMZ-TV Channel 69 (Service Electric channel 508 and RCN channel 1007).
