St. Luke's Newest HealthNow Discusses the Benefits of Physical Therapy

 

The latest episode explores physical therapy services offered at St. Luke’s University Health Network. 

The next installment of St. Luke’s HealthNow will air on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 6:30 PM on WFMZ, Channel 69. This episode showcases multiple physical therapy programs at St. Luke's University Health Network (SLUHN), highlighting spine, pelvic, and athletic therapy. 

The segment features a group of experts describing their individual training and specialties, advice and techniques for their patient’s pain relief, and recommended treatment plans. The specialists also discuss the numerous services and technologies offered by Physical Therapy at St. Luke's— touching specifically on the collaboration with Moravian University’s clinic. Also discussed are the importance of patient education, the benefits of direct access to physical therapy, and the reward of at-home exercises. The panelists includes:

  • Matthew Johnson, PT, DPT, OCS, SCS 

    • Board-certified clinical specialist, physical therapy at SLUHN

  • Melissa Hager,  PT, DPT, OCS

    • Board-certified clinical specialist, physical therapy at SLUHN

“I would give St. Luke's University Health Network an 11 out of 10 rating because they perform way beyond the call of duty,” said Bob Donchez, former mayor of Bethlehem and current physical therapy patient at SLUHN. “I think we're very fortunate to have such a great hospital that's diverse in so many ways. It serves the whole Lehigh Valley well."
